Growth Milestone: Celebrating Sheetz 700th Store

Our partners are like family. So when one of our long-time partners hits a growth milestone, we like to celebrate with them in a big way.

We did just that when Sheetz opened their 700th store in Powell, Ohio. The journey for Sheetz to reach this milestone has been in the works for years. Skilken Gold takes great pride in contributing to this success as a devoted development partner for over four years and counting.

When we started this partnership, we were solely working in the Columbus market. If you live in Columbus, you’re certainly familiar with the growth of Sheetz in our community. Since then, our partnership with Sheetz has grown, and now we are working to bring their premium fuel and convenience brand to multiple markets in multiple states.

Sheetz has big goals for growth, and we can’t wait to continue this journey together. Because in our world of development, when our partners win, we win.

Community Impact: Multi-Use Development Bringing Residential, Retail Growth to Sidney, Ohio

Seeing a project move from an idea on paper through the construction process and completion is one of the best parts of development. And we couldn’t be prouder to see just that happening at Burr Oak development in Sidney, Ohio.

In 2022, Skilken Gold and MSGA Development announced our partnership and plans to develop 175 acres near Burr Oak, with a vision for that land to become home to a future expansion site for Wilson Health, as well as commercial and residential development.

Skilken Gold is supporting the Master Planning of the development, and is working to secure quality retail partners, including drug stores, retail, quick service restaurant and grocery.

This is an exciting time for Sidney, as it’s experiencing rapid economic development thanks to its access to I-75. As a result, the community is prime for growth in retail, grocery, restaurants, and other business categories.

One of our core values at Skilken Gold is caring about the communities we serve.

Skilken Gold is helping the Altoona, Pennsylvania-based convenience store brand as it carries out plans to open 10 to 12 units a year in Central Ohio with a goal of around 50 total.
